Developments in UV-Lining technologies [189.58 KB]
As the demands of the sewer rehabilitation market develop, constant technical development from both the liner and equipment manufacturers is required. One of these developments has been the use of ultra violet light (UV) cured rehabilitation technology. Not many years ago, UV was only used in small diameter pipe work by a handful of installation contractors. Over the years UV has become a more accepted rehabilitation technique with greater (year-on-year) rehabilitated metereages achieved with diameters up to DN1200.

Trenchless installation methods for sea outfalls [355.03 KB]
Trenchless installation methods have less impact on the environment and the existing infrastructure than other methods such as open cut trenching. Pipelines that are laid underground are better protected against damage and therefore have a higher life expectancy than those laid above ground. For the installation of sea outfalls and seawater intakes, Pipe Jacking/Microtunnelling, Segment Lined Tunnels and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) methods may be applied depending on the site and ground conditions, pipe diameter and length to be installed, as well as on constructability and economic factors.
