Glass-Fibre reinforced liners helps keep the lights on at Drax
During 2011, Insituform Technologies Ltd (ITL) completed a challenging project to renovate a water intake main serving the Drax Power Station, a power generation plant that is the largest coalfired power station in the UK. Known as the "Make Up B Line Rehabilitation", the project was designed to secure raw water supplies to the power station's cooling water systems. To complete the project a total of 1.2 km of 1,067 mm diameter water intake pipe needed to be rehabilitated.
