The spotlight is on Abu Dhabi as it squares up to the challenges set out in the Government’s Plan Abu Dhabi 2030 – an ambitious and futuristic vision to improve and maintain the quality of life for citizens, while implementing a vast infrastructure expansion to accommodate the rapidly increasing population.

Abu Dhabi’s Strategic Tunnel Enhancement Programme (STEP) is just one example of a major venture to expand and upgrade the city’s underground sewerage network.  The STEP programme is on record specifying that the latest trenchless tunnelling technology will be used in its delivery.
